This project is a special edition illustrated cover design for Dracula by Bram Stoker.
The client had a very clear vision for the book: the cover needed to feel classy, refined, and atmospheric, with a palette built around deep blue, rich red, and golden foil details. While a character could appear on the cover, he was meant to remain suggestive rather than fully revealed, preserving a sense of mystery and restraint.
The final composition centers on a sharp, haunting portrait of an elegant man emerging from shadows, surrounded by flying bat motifs and intricate ornamental borders. The decorative frame blends Gothic and Art Deco, creating a visual that feels timeless and theatrical.
A limited palette of midnight blue, antique gold, and dark crimson gives the design a luxurious yet sinister mood, reinforcing the novel’s dark allure while making the edition feel highly collectible.
